AAR Environmental Services*

Applied Aquatic Research Ltd. (AAR) is a proudly Canadian Calgary-based consultancy founded in 1996, specialized in finding solutions for aquatics resources challenges. In 2010, AAR's scope expanded to include AAR Environmental Services* (AARES), a multidisciplinary division.  AARES offers a broad range of environmental planning, monitoring, spill response and assessment disciplines required to support the diverse needs of our clients.  In September 2021, AAR purchased Ghostpine Environmental Services Ltd. of Calgary to expand its offerings and client base.

 

At AARES we are a full service environmental consultancy providing western and northern Canada with support for, planning, permitting, construction monitoring, environmental inspection, plus water services including hydrology and hydrogeology.  AARES prides itself on its adaptability, comprehensive safety program, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and its qualified, competent and experienced staff.

AARES is Certificate of Recognition (COR)-certified, a subscriber to Complyworks, ISN online Health and Safety statistics, and has a comprehensive Corporate Safety Program that describes roles and of all employees. The company is insured fully and in good standing with the Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) of Alberta.
